After upgrading it from 4.23 to 4.50, my connection slowed down a lot.

Signing in to MSN took 3 seconds, and now needs 10 seconds!

My frequently played steam servers pings are normally <50 but now they ranges from 600 to 2000! it is happens very frequently now, only for some refreshes it turns back to normal for some seconds and back to lag mode.

before i update msgpluslive, my connection was quite stable, but now even getting mail from gmail and my ISP email (both using windows mail) slows to a crawl.

Using Windows Vista Ultimate all patched up..

have you tried downgrading back to MP!L v4.23 ?

Are you using any Plus! scripts?

This can only be a coincidence. Messenger Plus! just cannot affect your internet connection (even in Messenger it won't slow your sign-in down noticeably but Plus! cannot do anythign else to other apps). I suggest you jsut give a call to your ISP .

I have something similar ... I just upgraded to 4.50 and now MSN is using 40-50% CPU on average in stead of the 0 - 5 % it use to use

basically slowing down my whole PC

when I uninstall it all together and restart MSNmessenger : flies like a hummingbird

when I reinstall 4.50 again : slows down again, CPU usage up to 40-50% again

no other changes to my PC in the last month

Your case sounds strange, we would have reported something like this during BETA testing if it happened to any of us Are you getting confused with RAM? Messenger is a real RAM whore now and easily reaches 60MB of RAM usage.

Are you using any scripts/skins? If so try without.

Could you post your PC specs along with any other details we should know something is screaming at me 'search indexed hard drives' and I have no idea why.

not using any scripts or skins

I'm used to seeing it eat up to 50MB of ram

I'm defenitly sure about its CPU usage

PC specs high level are :
P4 3.06Mhz
2GB Ram
300GB harddrive SATA1
