nope, not possible because transparency like that is not supported by Messenger.

It might be possible to make the skin without transparency/glass, but yeah if you were after the glass effect then its not going to happen.

*on a side note that wasn't a real screenshot, it was a fake someone made a while ago.

Ive never seen that one on dA, i'm pretty sure that one was an april fools or some sort of joke on crystalxp a while ago. The deviantart mockup you are probably thinking of is this one:

wow i know that is a fake but that is really like windows live meseenger 8 without transparence tho dont know if this picture was before or after but yer

well we can use messenger plus to do the tranparancy, eventhough with no blur effect but thats not a problem with me

if this design is possible, why not try make one !? it would be great man!

This is just WLM8.0 beta design with the orange removed for transparency. WE have a WLM8 beta styled skin on the database

I do kind of have a plan to get that sort of effect though. I'll see once I finish the Life of Vista update...which I have yet to start...seeing I haven't skinned for like 3 weeks...
