Yes you can revert back to 7.5. But I will say this, once you try offline messaging, your hooked on it (well that's what happened to me anyway)

I think offline messaging should be renamed "Invisible" - because that's pretty much what you are when messaging people offline.. then again you'd get that conflicting with "Appear Offline" which is also invisibility to some extent..
