Doing stuff for family members is a good option at 12, and folder/ad delivery, although technically you have to be 14 for that here, the kid delivering here definitely isn't 12 yet. Get your parents to sign up for you in case needed.
Organise a party would be an option too, and would be fun at the same time!

Where are you getting the bike from because isn't the Scott Voltage YZ0 just a frame? I wouldn't get a Scott Voltage YZ0 as my first bike though because you will grow out of it and a cheaper one you can afford will be fine. Will you just use it for jumps?
The way I got my bike was asking my parents I got mine cheaper though because the person who bought it sold it back because it wasn't the right type of bike. Maybe you should check out second hand ones too.

Maybe try babysitting or tutoring if you know any younger people than you....if not, if your mum has old stuff she doesnt want anymore, try selling it on ebay. Definately do the whole paper delivery thing though...good luck with that one

Wanna read the thread?. ktnx
I'd say for your next birthday you should try the large birthday party.. my friend did that and by the time all of us gave him some cash he went out and bought a game cube. (and this is back when they were worth something.)

I've been riding for 10 years. That doesn't mean I should get an extreme bike frame though.
I thought I was buying my mountain bike just for mountain biking (XC) but I also need it for biking to school each day along with road biking, jumps, downhill etc so even if you buy your first bike for one thing, you may end up wanting to try new things that you may like better.
I did read it careful and don't want him to go out and buy a good bike. People I know have done that thinking they'll use it heaps but get bored soon after spending all their money.
Chose wisely.

if ur so good at dirt jumping on bike, why not enter some kind of contest or something where you could use your skills to really get 'the most out of it'. i know you might say that to do that you need a good bike, well my friend you dont always get wat you want, when you want. besides that what everyone here has said its pretty usefull, the whole paper thing and doing stuff for relatives will really work
