it's not the kind of RTF code I expect... I don't know why for some people it's this kind of code, and for others it's te same as mine... I thought it was the RichTextBox version which was the problem, but you said everything is ok in the install...

Could you describe your system? language, version of riched20.dll and richtx32.ocx (in C:\Windows\System)...

Hi, I installed this plugin today and I recieved the same error messages as weirdal27. My OS is Windows Millennium Edition (Spanish), the version of riched20.dll is 5.30.23.1203 and the version of richtx32.ocx is 6.0.88.77

Hi,
This bug is already fixed (well, I believe it's fixed) in my development version, but I won't release the next version until I've finished other things like the Flash Tour (for the newbies )

i've stil got the annoying problem that i've posted before...
no one answered on that problem of me, sow i post a screen now with my problem, very mutch thnx to the person that helps me

Try closing all running applications before installing ColorNick (including Messenger of course). The file appears to be in use, so it can't replace it...

If the error still occurs, try to Ignore it ("Negeren" ?) and see if ColorNick works. If it does not... you can try booting windows in safe mode and install from there, or wait for the next release (no more richtx32.ocx)

I have insatalled it... its in my plugins. and it want work.. I have it checked.. and my nick.. it will not change to what I set it too..

My version is: 2.0.708

What's the problem exactly? Do you see strange codes instead of the nick, do you get any error message?
Are you trying to color a long nick with many colors?

Perhaps could you post a screenshot?

Well thats the problem I dont see anychange in my nick's color.... and could you tell me how to post a screenshot?

Are you using the /xcolornick command or are you trying to color your nick through the Preferences panel? (some people did that...)

To make a screenshot press the Print Screen key on your keyboard, then open an image processing software like Photoshop, and paste the screenshot in a new document. Be sure to save it as JPEG to reduce its size.
And then post it here as Attachment.
