I liked it better without the "clouds" too .. it looks dodgy

Looks fine to me Aslong as the content is good and site works who honestly minds

Eljay has done it great. Nice and simple, has a warm summer feel to it

I dont see any 'summer' in it... I only see a blue ribbon which looks nothing like a sky but more like a dark/light blue circus tent pattern.

The logo is good but the background is just crappy. I really don't understand why so many people 'like' it.

When one uses a repeated background you must be carefull that the pattern doesn't look repeated and thus doesn't end up looking totally different than intended. Which is what happened.

vikke's design looks way more professional, fun, and 'summer' (if you must associate it with a season).

The way I see it is that it is a shiny and clear sky. That is enough of a summer sky for me.

.. Don't say it's crappy.. The reason you don't like it is the same reason we actually do like it.. It's called preferences and different tastes, I think most of the forum members agreed on that one.. so why are we getting back on this..?

Can't you select your own header by changing themes..? If it bothers you to that point.. Just do.

offtopic : by the way, there's no point of calling the background crappy.. if eljay puts half the effort I put in doing my graphics, this only sends a negative message to him.

I think it is crappy... I will not say it is nice if I think it isn't... looks very grainy and the fixed pattern of light and dark blue isn't anything like a sky at all. It looks like the billion other cheap hr-banners you'll find everywhere. If anything he should have used 1 color for the background and made the background wider so the repetative thing isn't so big.

EDIT: yes, normal old one would be best.

i still dont see why aint we using the regular/old thing. Will we change it for every important date? like next weekend will we have easter eggs? Do we wanna be like google or something? .

You just CAN'T use a season like logo for a site that's meant for people all around the world, for the simple fact that in the southern hemisphere it will always be the opposite season than in the northen hemisphere. The corrent logo is still kinda neutral, but dont forget about what i just said if you ever think of changing it again . I'd prefer the good old background for it (not the xmas one of course )

I'm not asking you to say it's nice.. Simply to express your opinion in a way which doesn't send a "your image is ugly" message to it's author.
