That's not true. Blocking is still there, it just has a different name - you 'appear offline' to individual contacts, which has the same effect of blocking in the old version.

That's not true (). Appear offline in WLM 2011 does not behave the same as block in WLM 2009 (at all). Appearing offline to a contact in WLM 2011 just prevents you from talking to that person. It does not prevent that contact from talking to you. In other words, appearing offline in WLM 2011 does not prevent people from annoying you as blocking does in WLM 2009.

And not forgeting that people you have blocked WILL BE UNBLOCKED if you use WLM 2011 and be online, meaning that 2011 doesn't "know" who is blocked so the list is reseted.
And yes, Menthix has a point, its not the same thing. You just appear offline to that person.

Oh right, apologies for making that assumption - wasn't aware of that.

If you delete a contact and your privacy settings are set to private (friends only) - would the contact then not be able to talk to you (i.e. blocked) ?

actually... at least for me... when i updated, all my blocked contacts changed to "appearing offline to..." soo... they are not unblocked... you still appear offline to them... it's not "reseted" as you said

well to me they were online... so i went back to 2009.
and remember offline is not the same as blocked. They can still talk to you, or go to your profile.

So since the betas came out and everybody complained about anything, without installing it can somebody tell me if they realized ANYTHING?

iv being using it for a long time there new emoticon pattern but what piss me off is there is no Drawing / doodling such as WLM 2009

So If I want to Draw I as to Install WLM 2009 as Microsoft won't let you run two Different Version within same OS

It would be nice if Window Live Messenger 2011 Would see a upgrade soon to allow Drawing

btw are there at least personal messages in 2011? I noticed this "share something" stuff or something like that during my quick stay in that msn but didnt use it.
Also, if i write personal messages in msn 2009 will they at least appear to people that are using 2011?
