File size shouldn't matter. The file can be very big (though, the bigger the slower it will be loaded - but I'm talking many many tens of megabytes here). I never heared of a file being removed once it passes a certain size, so something else should have happened here. Are you 500% sure you didn't accidently removed the file yourself or that some other program removed it?

yes I'm sure I didn't delete the file even if I did. it wld've been in the in the recycle bin still. I was abt to lose the file today if I didn't make a backup ever since that last incident and the file was only 949kb. I cldn't recover the file I lost even by restoring my operating system to a previous date. I'm starting to wonder if I lost it for good

P.s I forgot to mention that the my logs are being encrypted if that can be of any help.
