O.P. No e-mail notification sound?
Previous versions of PLUS! always had a sound option for new e-mails, how come this version doesn't have that (unless I can't find it).  I've been looking for hours.

I must be missing something?

The option you're looking for is in Windows Live Messenger 2011's own menu. :)
