All the issues in this thread apply with and without Messenger Plus involved (as in, it disabled).

First Issue:

Everytime I open WLM I get error 81000306.

Clicking retry always works, and signs me in no problem.

Second Issue:

Once logged in, Messenger freezes every few seconds. Doing whatever, clicking a chat window, typing text, changing settings, it'll freeze for a few seconds.

Windows 7 Enterprise x64 Service Pack 1 (6.1.7601)
Windows Live Messenger 14.0.8089.726 (With TReKiE's Link Reviver to avoid update)
Messenger Plus! 5.01.0.706

Steps I've attempted to fix the problem:

Updating to 2009 Build 8117 (still froze, same error)
Updating to 2011 latest (I forget the build, but same as above)

When (up/down)grading, I used the wlsetup-all from MenthiX's wonderful repository (), using ZapMessenger when applicable

"Connection Test" passes with no errors, my connection tab looks fine (I am under UPnP on my router).

Everything else on the system is working perfectly, it's only WLM which is causing a hassle .

Yes, but it also prevents forced update and is the latest build with webcam-only (not video call).

edit: Re-installed OS, all fixed .
