O.P. Stolen Messenger & Hotmail Accounts
My 10 year Messenger & Hotmail accounts have been stolen and I am desperate to retrieve them, I can not log in to change the password, I have tried to contact Hotmail admin direct, via various links etc posted on the net (and on the Messenger trouble shooting section) but I am going round in circles (and mad). Can anyone tell me who to contact (direct) to resolve this issue...your help appreciated....Further (I have just been informed) someone is using my messenger account and pretending to be me, need to stop this urgently.

Regards

M

RE: Stolen Messenger & Hotmail Accounts
Hey,

I understand it is very frustrating but the only official thing you can and should do is described here:
http://windowslivehelp.com/solution.aspx?solution...-ac9a-93838d81b2d6
and here:
http://windowslivehelp.com/solution.aspx?solution...-b03f-145b951dcb41
Or alternativly, go here:

If so, I suggest you do what they ask you to do.

Nobody here on the Messenger Plus! forum (or any other forums for that matter) can do anything else or suggest anything more. The people on the Windows Live Solution Center are the only ones who can help you; nobody else can do anything about it. There is no other way or other 'helpdesk' you can turn to.

The only thing more to suggest is to keep your cool and be as descriptive as possible. Eg: if you explain something you did, be very clear, use steps to describe in detail what you did.

Cookie Revised... Thank you very much for your reply, appreciated. The problem I am having is that I get to these links you have posted below but I seem to go round in circles..I must be doing something wrong because I dont get to any place where I am asked questions about my account.....

I am here  https://security.live.com/pp1000/acsr.aspx/A2                           and get this message:

Please fix the errors below.

Your Windows Live ID must start with a letter. The ID can contain only letters, numbers, periods (.), hyphens (-), and underscores (_). Please type a different Windows Live ID in the following format: someone@example.com

My email only contains what is stated above but it won't let me enter my email address....help

Note: Is this your post?:

No not me, but it sounds like at least he got through to someone about his problem..that's what I need to do speak to people like

Windows Live John SM

Windows Live Jaycee G

Thank you for taking the time. Regards M
