I can confirm that, with Plus! 5.10, the log folder is created each time you login into Messenger even if you have disabled all disk logging in that account. This is didn't happen in previous versions.
I'm not sure if this is a bug. It could be by (poor) design (it should be created if it doesn't exist and only when needed). Nevertheless I will request this thread to be moved to the Bug Reports forum so it can be looked into.

It should only be created when logging is enabled and only if the directory doesn't exist yet. Aka, it should be done in an error trap when attempting to create a log file. It should not be done each time you log into Messenger regardless if you enabled or disabled logging.

This said, tistou77, the directory is indeed not automatically removed when you disable logging. But this is a good thing; imagine what would happen when somebody disables logging temporary (they would loose their logs). A program should not remove such directories on its own (not even empty ones).
