Same problem as everyone else. "An error occurred while installer Messenger Plus! Please try again later."

If it helps, I'm on Windows XP Pro 64-bit.

Like others said, please let us download the entire thing manually instead, so we can go straight to installing. That would help the problem of it not downloading itself through the installer client we're given.

I'm using Windows XP 32 bit.

Odd codes like 9c3f5601-3337-11e0-b5da-0050fca4005a in conversation windows (SweetIM)

Hello! I use Win7x64, WLM 2009 (v14) and Plus! 5.11 (latest version).
I always used Plus without any problem. However, 2-3 days ago (I can't tell exactly when) when I launched WLM I found Plus had disappeared. I tried many times to unistall and reinstall (both WLM and Plus) but nothing changed. I haven't installed any Smiley central or stuff like that. What can i do?

Do you still have the "Plus!" menu in the toolbar? (you can bring it up momentarily by pressing ALT on the keyboard; "Plus!" should show to the right of the "Help" menu)

No, can't see, it's completely gone; today i tried to install the latest version of WLM, but still no plus! o.o

Did you use BitDefender (keiththewolf's report)?

No i didn't...
However, after 3 days i eventually came to a solution: i don't know why, but running WLM in Win 7 compatibility mode (though i'm using Win 7 already) makes Plus appear again.

attempted to install Messenger Plus! Live version 5.11.  Downloaded installer from official site. When I run the installer it will go for a short time and then stop giving the message: An Error Occurred  while installing Messenger Plus!. Please try again later.

I've tried the things that are listed on this site but with no luck I still keep getting the same error message.  Am using windows live messenger 2009 build 14.0.8117.416 on Windows XP Pro SP3
