When recording a video chat it records the audio fine but the instead of it recording the actual video window it records the chat window defeating the purpose of the recording

I am using the lastest version of Plus and running windows vista with the latest service packs

This is pretty annoying as I have uninstalled/reinstalled several times but achieving the same result ...

Thanks for detailed report. It is easier for us to see the problem when you provide screenshots, and details about OS, and app versions

We'll try to reproduce the bug and update you. Have you made sure that Skype Video conversation is on top?

Do you have the same problem when you select Skype Default View (in View menu)?

Just tested on my Windows Vista SP2 & Skype 6.2.0.106 with the latest version of Messenger Plus! installed and in Default view.

I had but will again attach a screen print from the video which shows it does not record the Video window but instead the main window of skype or the conversion (text chat) window

as you can see from the preview window the focus is not where it should be (video) ....

I have yet to receive an update/response on this issue
would anybody be so kind to pick this issue up please?

Is there anything else I can do to get the attention of the support team for this issue?

Some wild guesses, but maybe it helps...

Do you have multiple monitors?
Is the result any better in compact mode?
Do you use any tools which may affect your windows, for example: UltraMon, Visual Styles, etc.

Yes I do have multiple monitors but nothing else running that should interfere with the focus recording video window issue ...

The result is the same in all modes

Has this issue been resolved/addressed?
I have  tried today for the first time to record a video call, and ended up with sound and my IM screen for the chat in course...

Latest software for me too, and Vista. no dual monitor or other weirdness, though I use larger font display. I will try to change that and see if it works/changes.

No, not yet. It an sometimes be hard to fix a problem if developers can't seem to recreate the problem.

Large font size could be a factor. If it does record part of your screen but just not the right part is seems Plus! is having trouble figuring out where the coordinates of the webcam video are.
