MSN Messenger 5 has been released but not Windows Messenger 5. Those who have both old and new version running should be on WinXP as MSN Messenger and Windows Messenger are two different programmes. It has been mentioned in MSN Messenger's download page. Hope this will relieve some curiosity.

Personally, I have Windows ME installed on my computer. When I installed MSN Messenger 5.0, my MSN Messenger 4.6 got deleted automatically. I think this is a standard practice however, I noticed that this time round the new version of MSN Messenger isn't insalled in C:/Programme Files/MSN Messenger but now it is installed in C:/Programme Files/Messenger. Is it the case for u guys?

Well, I have v5.0 installed seeing as it still logs my chats for me, but I don't get the fact that Chrono stated, as in when you install MSNM5 on XP, its compatible, but it installs to a new directory and leaves 4.7 there. It boggles my mind, lol...
