lol yeah i said that... but that was with the old sounds problem, there's no need/point to rename the files ;)

Patching doesn't work that way...

Before you can succesfully patch a file, you have to know what bytes you have to patch and where they are... (and afcourse into what)... This (location mostly, but what bytes also) can be different between file-versions...

You can download a hex editor and insert the link that way.

yep, like DarKnight said, a hex-editor is all you need...
A patch is nothing more then this... (it overwrites some bytes)

BTW: Backup an original file, Patch that file, and to a binary compare -> FC.EXE FILE_ORI.EXE /B FILE_PATCH.EXE /B
The output is the difference between the two, now you can see what bytes are changed into what bytes...

well actually this helped..... :P so if you wanna patch it use this patch (thanks to mess.be) and remeber to rename ClearMSN.exe to msnmsgr.exe :P
