yes cause it sniff all ports just find another packetsniffer if you are to lazy to search
witch will only monitor port 1863

I dunno, what Messenger version you use, Wouter, but packet data "216" never comes up with me, not with contacts that are online, not with contacts that are blocked... "217" comes up plenty when you type and send messages though (even if the contact has blocked you during the chat, the packet data is still "217"!)
And also, you can't use this with messenger alone cause, messenger won't allow opening a chat-window if a user has a offline-status...

hi...
I tested vsniff...
but when you are on IRC you get thousands of adresses, but it shows join and parts
and i try it out with a friend, he blocked me, but it don't show some numbers...
