I had the display of my Private Messages reading
Private Messages: New 0, Unread 0, Total 6.

Now 5 of the 6 were in the trash can, so why do they account for the total if they have been deleted. in an email the total of emails isn't including the trash can.

just thing that in the update this could be fixed.

i knew about it, that confused once, a while ago
it should be 'fixed'

I'm a newbie...was that always happening...Today was the first time I sent a message and first day to recieve one and I thought it was pretty strange.   I sent a message...then deleted it from the sent and then it was in the trash but showed up in the total .  Great isn't it.

The trash can still counts towards your quota, thats why it is included in the total.

btw. what is the quota? Where does it tell you much space you've got left?

Yeah, the trash can is just another one of the folders you can store messages in, and it still takes up space. I agree with the way the counter works.

The quota depends on your usergroup... it's 150 for regular members, and higher for mods... you shouldn't need more than that.

It doesn't tell you how much space is left, but that's a damn nice idea... there should be a little meter like some webmail services have, eh?

that happens to me all the time.. it's a reload page problem...well it's fixed now... and good question lobsterboy, when is the upgrade?

Oh, I suggested an idea... It's been years since that last happened.

btw. I'm on 233 messages in total, yet to failed to mention how many I'm actually allowed. Or do I have to wait for the meter?
