well i'd suggest a sticky thread (like the "nick changed" one), but for banned ppl: featuring reason and time (if already decided)

maybe some mod/admin won't like to explain it to ppl well then it could be a closed thread

I agree. If we all are a whole community and some member is expulsed from it (ie: banned) I think we should know why, even if the admin/mod that says that writes a short sentence in a single line.

I think the exact opposite.

Administrators have the right to do what they wish, for whatever reason they wish.

IMO it's none of your business why someone is banned. The only people who have a right to know are the forum staff and the person who's banned. It's between us and them.

Most of the time, the reasons will be obvious, and even if they're not, the banning is in the past, and we shouldn't bring it up again and make a big deal out of it.

Finally, banning is fairly rare here.

Bleh, I voted then read the posts after it, and I have to say I agree with Chris and DZ too...  tbh, if you're wondering whether someone was banned you can just look them up anyway on the memberlist... we don't need to know every obscure person who flooded a forum with spam which was all deleted before we saw any of it.

I see WDZ and Chris’s point but it would be nice to have a clue why they were banned. I mean just a reason out of like 5 possible things on the banned user's profile like;
Banned due to spamming
Banned due to threatening users
That way it’s not 100% clear why they were banned but it gives you a clue…
