I just got a server error today at 4:40 PM (my time). If anyone can confirm this, that would be appreciated.

If you mean the server load error, then yes, I saw a few of them a moment ago. No big deal, have seen them before, though.

It is usual to get server overload messages, especially when there are many users requesting the server (database request, page viewing or searching...etc) at the same time...this functionality just prevents the server from halting, so live with it:P If we do have unusual CPU load or network load, wj will deal with it;)
