that's it, i try to change the avatar the same way i put this one on and it says it succesfully changed but it shows the same one!

Did you click the options box before the option you changed? because it doesn't auto change

I see a peace bird (forgot its name) white pidgeon. If this is your new one, and you don't see it, try pressing Ctrl+F5

It forces your browser to reload the page and all the images. You were seeing a cached version of your avatar before.

It reloads the page without using the cache. In the cache, files (mostly images) are stored to load pages faster: it's faster to load from the hard drive than from a web server.

When a picture changes, the old one in the cache doesn't change and this one will normally be used. When you use Ctrl+F5, it will always load all files from the web server: may be slower, but the correct images will be shown.

The uploaded avatar caching problem is now fixed. Hopefully nobody else will complain that their avatar doesn't change...
