O.P. Bug in quick quote?
Hello...
I dont know if this has been reported but here it goes...
If you q. quote a post which has some/a quotes then the quoted message from the other user wont appear(this doesnt happen for many quotes messages, it will just quote the message after the last quote...)
If you use the "slow quote" this wont happen...

This is known. At least, I knew it
I think this was done intentionally; I can remember it used to quote the entire post

Yes, when WDZ added it some people said it sometimes only took a bit of the text. If you first highlight the text (with the quote in it) it will take the quote along (altough it won't seem to take it along very good )
btw: for copying my sig Mike2

Tochjo is right that the quotes are removed intentionally. It's just to make the quick quote simpler, and save space.

Hmmm ok then...
Btw can you make a quote box(when you "slow quote") which will show the quoted text?
I have seen this on some other forums...

No...I mean another box...
Example:
And a little up from this there would be the original box of your text...

Although the intentions are good (to make it simplier), since then I use the quick-reply even less and need to go to the new reply page to type a reply (which is more of a hassle)... So it isn't easier in use

RE: Bug in quick quote?
I'd personally much prefer it if it just copied the entire message so I could edit it in the reply box, but I guess I see your point about saving space and stuff....
Anyway, talking about Quick Quote bugs, try typing something in the Quick Reply box, then cutting it (Ctrl+X), then making a Quick Quote.

It quotes what you cut?
Opera doesn't do that, but if IE does, it's a javascript limitation. There's no way to tell if the selection is in a post or not.
