I'm sure there is $username in there somewhere, but after updating your options in your user control panel, there is no username shown in the confirmation/redirect page.

WDZ, fix!

Tochjo, how come you always manage to noticed the smallest of things?  I must have updated my user options three or four times this week alone and have never noticed that untill now.

I think I spent over 10 hours on the community forums trying to spot bugs in RC3 the last couple of days, and I just spotted this

And it also helps if you can look directly in the templates

LOL... nobody would notice that unless they actually looked at the template. The only noticable problem is the space in "Thank you ,". I've already fixed several bugs similar to that, but I didn't feel like scanning every single template. I'll just get rid of the username var completely... I'm sure everyone knows what their name is.

BTW, I'll read the RC3 forums where you're posting this crap, so I'll know what I should fix...

You should have fixed it by replacing $username with $mybbuser[username] and not by removing it

But that means adding a staggering ten more characters to the template!

EDIT: Mind you, if you want a really lazy solution...I'm sure that $mybb[username] would work just as well.  That's only six extra characters.

The username shouldn't have been there in the first place, no matter what the variable name is...

So why was $username added there in the first place then?
