I know I've posted this in another thread about block checkers (and it was kind-of offtopic). But to make sure the suggestion isn't lost in the discussion, here it is again...

This suggestion is no invasion of privacy whatsoever. Also, it isn't about block-checkers, so please don't discuss it here ...

It would be cool if Plus! could show the real statusses of your contacts instead of "(blocked)" in the contactlist...



If I block a person the status-icon in front changes to the blocked-icon, so I know that he/she is blocked. But also the status after the name changes to "(blocked)". I would like to see the real status: (online)/(busy)/(away)/etc...

I think this is very possible; if you look to the events window, it still will record status changes of the contacts that you have blocked. So the status changes still get send to your messenger. So this will be only a minor and good change I hope...

Do you like the suggestion?

I don't have many people blocked, but when I do, it would be very nice to see what status they have rather than having to look in the event log, or the contact info window. Very good idea Cookie and one I am certain is very possible for Patchou to add

good idea CookieRevised, i like it, but jeronimo is righ, you can just check their contact information that comes with plus to check there last changed status..

but other than that i tottaly support this, so why not.

I have a blocked contact with personalised status tag "Sleeping" and in Contact List her name is shown "[Her nick] (Sleeping)" instead of "[Her nick] (Blocked)". Theoretically the function Cookie suggested should work in the same way Plus! replaces the status tag...

Plus! Replaces the name by adding a name over the original. The (Blocked) tag is part of the MSN protocol. Therefore, I think this would be illegal.

But I don't know...
