As of 1:31PM Eastern Standard Time the IRC channel is down to an Attack launched  believed to be by someone by the name of "Solidus".  A Log of the events leading up to it is below.

As of 1:32pm EST, it is still being packeted.
Update: As of 1:41PM EST, Server has resumed normal operation.

I have contacted the host of the server to see if I can get some protection on it asap.

The server has resumed Normal Operations at 1:41PM Eastern Standard Time, Eckohost was able to recover.

I'm happy we're back, although I wasn't there, but it disturbes me the fella is still there well anyways.. eXoenDo, did you report it to DX? And are we 'protected' now against this uhm.. kid

DX has nothing to do with this... he manages the irc server and is responsible for stuff related to connecting to irc... but as for a full server attack, that is being dealt with by paul, as he said minutes after the attack happened.  If and when Paul finds out whether it was him, he'll let DX know if he needs anything from him... a forum post wasn't necssary just for that purpose.

Actually lobster, I deal with everything on that server . Paul as well.  I have talked with the datacenter, for now the packets are being blocked, seems there was multiple attacks. The attacker is using a proxy to connect to our IRC server, and he is indeed still there, I reported the IP to the datacenter, however, I doubt there is much they can do about it. We'll see . I banned the guy from the server, eventually he'll get bored.

sorry i keep forgetting you're ecko staff, maybe it's cos you're always op but paul only voice... my point is still the same though, it was being dealt with, it didn't need echoing (except for the point of conversation )
