is there any way of setting up an IMAP email account in plus! ?
other threads talk about the possiblity if the program supported different ports, now that is does i was wondering how to go about doing it

I'm not sure. I'd say you can't do that, however I encourage you to test it.
If I'm not wrong, the IMAP protocol is diferent from the POP3. In that case you couldn't configure it. However if the IMAP is (in some points) similar to POP3 there may be a change you'd acomplish to do that.
