I have had plus for a long time now, but lately when i open any msn window (even the main one) windows intsaller attempts to install sumthin and then the window is displayed but any other window than the contact list one isnt enhanced by plus!
any ideas?

What version of MSN Messenger do you have?

6.1.0211 and i cant intstall any newer ones cus the installation fails!

Try to uninstall thye older version and get the newer directly from http://messenger.msn.com in your language.
Then try again.

You can say that...

try to install 6.2 from the installer, not from the automatic update in Messenger.

It seems like the installation is corrupted in some way. No wonder MP! doesn't hook correctly.

i cant uninstall it. or install any other version over the top of it! or even repair my installation of the current version! i wonder how this one happened! and messenger has an updater?

Yes, it sometimes displays a toast notifying that a newer version is available and installs it upon you old version. But it sometimes doesn't work, gets delayed... etc.

I'm not suer about what you should do. Maybe rename the folder where Messenger is installed and then try to install it... you could try to remove all entries and libraries... but if you don't know about them I wouldn't advise you to do so.

Reinstalling Windows would maybe fix it, too.
