This might sound big, but if we could do this, imagine the new things we could with MSN? We develop a new Protocol and a patch to convert. This way, we could do LOADS more things with MSN, such as animated DP's, animated CE's, CE's in names, invisable mode, etc. etc.

This might be impossible or too hard, but worth a try? i'd do it, but i have abaslute NO programming knowledge, what so ever

This would be awesome if someone could do it... I would almost  guarantee that over 100,000 more people would download it if the news got around

i believe we need a hand of a large server to make this possible.......but a P2P client should be really good.

That's probably the reason why you're actually considering it...

we wouldnt need servers, just to change the headers or something that are sent out that tells the other person where the animated dp is located

Microsoft wouldn't allow it and therefor it would be in violation with the EULA.
