O.P. Huh?  POP3 E-mail Server on Messenger Plus! 3
hi people.

Sorry if this has come up in another post but as far as I can see there is none containing this (i've been searching for an hour already - all i've found is about outlook express [if there has been a post, please put a link!!!])

Anyway, as many people may have noticed, in Messenger Plus! 3 there is a POP3 server. This says it is an 'Hotmail POP3 server'.

As I found this a seemingly good feature I thought why not have a go? so, guess what? I filled it in. Like this:

E-mail address: myproperaddress@hotmail.com
Server: didn't know, so left blank
Log in and Password: myproperaddress@hotmail.com and... my password...
E-mail Client or Link: left blank.

1) Do I have to fill in the server field? (If so, with what?)
2) Will hotmail addresses really work? (or as I have past experienced, not work at all)
3) Have I done anything wrong??

Reply asap please!!

Thanks alot

Stevie

PS. NOTHING to do with Outlook Express...

thats exactly the problem, hotmail addresses wont work cause hotmail doesnt have POP3 services. the option is there so u can check ur pop3 mails instead the normal hotmail one.
