Hello,

I have installed Messenger Plus 3!.
Now i have downloaded some plugins from this site

You can insert these sounds with Audiator 3. When I try to install these files in Plus 3! with Audiator 3 I'll get the following message:

"Error: The SoundPack INI file is not well-formed. Missing Name key in
Header"

In Messenger Plus 2! they worked perfectly, but In Plus 3! they won't work

What can I do about it??

They are sound plugins. You need the audiator and for your friends to here them they need the same sound packs.

I forgot to say that I used Audiator 3, sorry.

I got a prob also.. i install Screenshot sender 3 beta and when i log to messenger i go to plugins section and the screenshot sender doesnt work

I have found the problem.

In Plus !3 it works differently. I have to adjust al headers in the *.INI files

Also in the c:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! 3\Plugins\Audiator you have to make directories for the plugins.

Could this be changed??
I think that if you release a new version of Plus, you also adjust the Plugins?? Or you have to say that some sounds won't work.

Because I think not all plugins (escpecially sounds inserted with Audiator) will work.

To use soundpacks with Audiator 3, they have to be newly made soundpacks compatible with Audiator 3. Old soundpacks will NOT work at all with Audiator 3 and so this is not a Plus! 3 issue, nor is it a bug. It's meant to be like that.

The so called "old" plugins will work with Plus! 3.

Once you've unpacked the files to c:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! 3\Plugins\Auditor you have to go to the Soundpacks directory to chanche the *.ini files from the "old" plugins.

The new soundpacks have te following header:

[Header]
TotalSounds=28
Artist=BulletRaven
Name=Ages Soundpack
Version=3.0

The Old soundpacks just had:

[Header]
TotalSounds=x

So you have to chance the old header with an artist, a name and the version. Then it should work.

I installed plus3 , and than the auditor plugin, and it doesn't work either, so you're saying to change the "old" *.INI files , but the only *.INI files I have already have artist and name ??

so what more can I change ?

(btw I can select a sound and send it to someone who has installed the same plugin, and we both can't hear the sound)

do u have windows message installed ? SS3 needs the API of windows message to work
