u no in the message box wen u type / and the list comes up?


well you could use some api so when u type s after it it jumps to the first s in the list not close the list..

i think some people should agree with me

Yea, this has been requested before.. and it would be usefull.

For now, after "/" use Ctrl + Letter to scroll down

yeah gd idea would be easier to navigate then and more proffesional!

I don't recommend it..what if you want to type a word? Wow, will that be extremely annoying.

Instead of mistakenly typing / you'd be typing a command that is inputted after pressing / and then a letter and then enter .

It's a pet peeve for me, it'll be annoying..well at least for me...

ermmm.... read the post from Sk3tch and Choli.... use CTRL+<character>

The reason why CTRL is needed is because you should be able to type the command without the use of the list and if CTRL wasn't used, you couldn't do that anymore...

ES and Cookie: The suggestion is very good: You press / and the command browers appears. Then you start typing a command, like /c and then in the command list there would only be the commands that start with /c . You continue: /cl and then there would only be /clear and /close, etc...

At any moment, you can
-press enter or tab to insert the selected command in the command browser.
-press Esc to hide the list of commands
-user the up & down arrows to change the selected command.

That would be like when you're programming in VC++ or VB and you type a function and a tooltip with its parameters is shown, or when you type a dot and a list with all the attributes, methods, etc... is shown. That's very usefull.

that would only happen when you start typing a message with a / . That wouldn't happen in any other case.

ah... ic... I've read the first post wrong (too hasty)... this is indeed a small but important difference...

i think it would be better if it filtered out to only things that began with wot u typed
