Hi! Mi new here, but I have a Sound problem with the MSN PLUS
When I tried the sound commands, I can't heard anything!!

I switched the codecs to MPG1 and MPG2 but doesn't seems to work.

Can anybody help me?

Hi, and welcome to the forums

- Check that you've enabled the option "Play sounds while busy" (it's in the same screen as the MPG1 and MPG2 codecs.

- Also, in the Instant Messages section of the preferences, Commands & Tags subsection; make sure the box named "Use sound commands" is checked (I don't konw it's exact english name)

- If none of that works, can you answer me if you can hear MP3s in your computer? What version of Windows do you have? and what's the version of Windows Media Player? Try to reinstall WMP (or install the last version of it). Also, make sure you have the last version of Msg Plus! : 3.01.94

I have the same problem.

yesterday i installed the latest versión of plus! 3  and the command sound stop working.

but i notice this:

I change the codec preference to mpeg1 and the msg plus is able to play one sound  -only if i  play one of the the old sound commands - but the second sound command do not make any sound and when i go back to the preferences the setting is again in the mpeg2 codec, i can't make the mpeg1 codec persist, i am very confused and frustrated.

BTW i have win 2000, i can hear mp3 files on my pc, the mpeg2 codec is already installed, media player versión is 9 and i have the latest available versión of msg plus! 3 -it was dowloaded late nigth-

It's me again.   the lack of replies is making me nervous jajajaja

rigth now i notice something, if i send an old sound command (from HELLO! to TREKKIE) -and i have the sound codec preference set to mpeg1- it's OK, the sound is played.

If send a new sound command  (Dangerous to Sleep) nothing happens, no sound, and when i check the sound preference the sound codec is set to mpeg2

BTW i have already installed on my PC the mpeg2 codec.

About your problem, have you tried to reinstall plus and/or windows media player?

one more revelation jajajaja if someone send me a new sound command (dangerous to sleep) all my sound commands stop playing, it's like miself send the command, and of course the mpeg codec preference is set to mpeg2 by itself

Yes, I already uninstall and reinstall the msg plus 3, and yesterday i install the most recent version available of win media player, but  the new sound commands still not work.

I install the All-in-1 codecs pack to no avail.
