Is there any way to set my status to Online while still having a personalised status, for instance so my status could read "Bored" or "Tired" but I'd still be seen as being online? I don't want to set my status to Busy as that implies I'm not available to chat.

its easier just to change your name to "X - bored" or "X-tired"

I still would like that feature...

I mean I heate having to choose busy, why can't we just be online, like what if you were there but didn't want to answer them. Obviusly you'd be busy if you couldn't answer yourself but I would really like having the ability to be online with Personalised Statuses.

The reason is behind this is you set a status because you are doing something, if you are not doing something then your online. Like toddy suggested you could just put NickName (Bored) because the (Online) status is not shown if you sort by Online and Offline contacts.

I still like the idea...

Yah besides, In case you havn't noticed, people don't usually talk to you when your away or busy. This makes alot of sence because your not there, but lets say you wanted to have lots of people to talk to you but you didn't want to answer them. Have your Personalised Status Answer Them Instead.

You could just add (Bored) at the end of your name like Matty said...
