Ok i have this really big problem or should i say problems.

Problem 1-Ok some retarted jerk entered my gmail address into a pron database and its send me over 50 emails a day with link to porn and other stupid stuff like Find your mate and stuff like that and i was wondering if there was a way that i can make it to where i only recive emails from @gmail.com,@hotmail.com,@yahoo.com,@rogers.com,@aol.com,@shaw.ca.

Problem 2-I have been gettin lots of emails to my gmail with the sender's name is called unknown sender and the subject is unknown subject. is there a way to automatically make it to where it sends email with out a sender and a subject to either my spam folder or my trash can.

Problem 3-This is accutally about my hotmail account i got a email form someone and it looked sort of like this

the name of the attachment was data_deranged_figurex.zip

the deranged_figurex is my msn email address so i think something is fishy what do you think i should do.BTW-i dont have norman on my comp.

EDIT:I was also wondering if i delete my gmail account will gmail allow me to make another one with out an invite.

i don't know if there's a way to do that in gmail, however a lot of spam can come from @hotmail.com, @aol.com and similar domains, so allowing only those ones won't ensure you won't receive spam.

it's easy to generate emails with attachments which names are the same (or a variation) as the address, so my suggestion is: if you don't know who sent that email then delete it.

ok thanks ....is there a way to allow only people on my contact list to send me emails.

You can tell Gmail about the spamming, they might take actions like blocking the IP or the address.  You can also set up a filter for it to send it immediatly to the trash can.
You can't only recieve e-mail from specific adresses.

it's just spam. If you didn't do anything involving Norman AV it's 90%  chance spam.

No, you can't make a new one without an invite.

OK whats the adress to the gmail thing ur talking about and what should i tell them .

You can first select the specific e-mail(s) and press "Report Spam". If it doesn't help after a few days contact them at Gmail Support.

Some arse has put my address in one of those databases ages ago I think cos I get about 50 a day aswell. This is on my hotmail account and when I report it they don't do anything

Well, as for the (Unknown Sender) and (Unknown Subject), or whatever it displays to you, you can set Gmail to filter these messages immediately to the trash can and probably report them as spam.

As for the porn database,  Do the same thing for that, go through the emails and block the entire domain if you must.

As for the Virus Control scanned email on your hotmail, seems quite strange, ill take a look at it on my "Virus Room" partition if you like.  (This partition I use only for testing potentially dangerous viruses)

tip: if you put your email address on the net like you do, of course you are going to get much spam in your boxes... it is never a good idea to put your email like that on public if you can't defend yourself against the spam....


About the email you got with the attachment. That's a normal virus that has infected someone who knows you and has your msn email on their computer... Delete the mail and do not open/run the attachment!
