Spam is often sent by machines, who automatically search the web for email addresses.

well ok that really sucks but who cares once i get my first invite iam makeing my self a new gmail account.

The spammers don't have to necessarily be members on this forum..there are also 103+/- guests viewing the forums right now too.

Like Cookie said, don't go spreading your email on the internet if you don't want spam. It's simply that simple, don't give out your email to people you don't know and spam won't reach you..as..much..

well hotmail is becoming 250mb so i don't think that will be able to be filled with spam, when hotmail update evertones account space

I have a separate address which I dont put out on the web, and that's the spammed account. Some sutpid person that hates me probably did it, anyway to sotpt hem considering hotmail do absolutely nothing to help their users on thigns like this?

If you really have to put your email on the internet then instead of the @ sign, do as they do on mess.be and put this picture: . That way, the machines that scan the web won't pick it up.
