O.P. RE: i cant sign into msn messenger...plz help
i tried using this but this doesnt open in my oc i dont knw y...when i tried opening it ....an alert says..."there has been an error opening that..and the file doesnt start with %pdf ......" sth like this....
I'm not gonna say don't try this, because you never know... , but if you change the server it will be for all msn accounts; changing servers is global. What I mean is, seemab_z can log in with one account but not with the other. Every account you use to sign in on your MSN Messenger will use the same server, so changing servers? I dunno.... It sounds more like a account-problem....
O.P. RE: i cant sign into msn messenger...plz help
i just clicked on the attachment given and a window came up asking if i want to save it ...i clicked open ...and then the adobe acrobat opens itself but then it says error while opening this file....

1) close MSN Messenger completely (by right-clicking on its icon in the system tray and choosing "exit")...
2) delete the folder: \Documents and Settings\xxxxxx\Application Data\Microsoft\MSN Messenger\yyyyyy\
(assuming you have XP)
\WINDOWS\Profiles\xxxxxx\Application Data\Microsoft\MSN Messenger
(assuming you have for 9x with profiles)
\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\MSN Messenger
(assuming you have for 9x without profiles)
xxxxxx stands for your name you use to log in to Windows
yyyyyy stands for the account ID number of your MSN account, you can calculate this by using the attached tool (made by Choli)...
3) Restart MSN Messenger and try to log in (this may not work the first time, so try logging in a second time if needed)
Note: But by doing this you will loose all your custom emoticons and display pictures you have set for that account...
EDIT: updated the post, with the directory locations for other windows versions...
