Ok, I searched in the forums, and I don't find a really solution, so I did this thread

I have a Sony Cyber-Shot 2.1 Mega Pixels, Model No. DSC-P50 (I think is a little old)

So, can I use it as a web cam or not.

Unless the Dighital Camera SPECIFICALLY has that feature (it would tell you somewhere in the box/manual) then no.

i dun think it wuld be a good idea neways, digital camera's lense are meant for capturing still pictures at high quality while a web cam is meant for capturing movement which means alotta compression and degrading in quality, even if u culd, u wuld need to either compress the images comin outta the digital camera which wuld prob cause fps lag making pictures seem choppy

I have a 4cm by 4cm tiny digital camera (no display screen) and it doubles as a webcam but i have a logitech cam anyway

yea, i've seen those but i decided itz not worth it as a digital camera, the lenses are pretty bad, but they look pretty kool but for standard digital camera, dun think it wuld work

nah well i havnt really taken photos with it, i got it for free...im planning to purchase a proper camera anyway
