Hi,

I've installed msgplus on many computers at home.
It works perfectly, but I have a problem with ScreenShot Sender :
it doesn't work on windows 2003 Enterprise Server (tested on a v5.2.3790 french version).
But this plugin works perfectly on xp pro, xp pro sp1, xp pro sp2 (all build tested for last 6 months).

I'd like to indicate an other plugin bug :
I've the sp2 computers, 2 LCD screens :
- at left, secondary screen, contains the start menu
- at righ, primary screen.
- the desktop is in extended mode on both screens.

DirectX programs, use in generall only the primary screen to display content.
Well, using this configuration, screenshot sender works only on the primary screen, and i cant select an area on the secondary screen.

I hope Dempsey will fix these bugs.

yea im working on dual monitor support in the next version, but im not sure why it didnt work on Windows 2003, ill try and look into it, but i cant test it myself, so it may be a problem.  Did you use the installer or manually install it?

The problem is maybe due to MsgPlus.
it doesn't detect the plugin.
I can see your dll file into my Msgplus directory :
"D:\Programmes\Messenger Plus\Plugins\FreeImage.dll"

Is there a way to force msgplus to load the file?

is there SS.dll there too ?

try clicking Start, Run and typing

and check if Dempsey.SS exists in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Patchou\MsgPlus2\RegisteredPlugins

I've registered SS.dll, which was present in the plugin directory.
The key in the registry exists.

I've restarted msgplus, but it still doesn't detect your plugin.

hmm weird.  Quite a few people seem to have probelms with that version.

You can either downgrade to an older version, i cant remember what build was previously released, or wait forthe new version which hopefully will be released soon.

If you wan I make tests on debug version, don't hesitate to contact me.

For the previous release, ok, but where can I download them?
I find only the latest version on MsgPlus web site.

I think i've a strange computer, and you'll have to ask a free trial version of win2003 server
