simply install over the old version (but don't forget to close MSN before )

im getting the gradient problem as well as a problem where no matter what name i choose, the first 5-6 character are displayed white

the gradient problem is a strange thing, and Tarry doesn't have this problem anymore...

but could you describe your second problem more precisely ? version of Windows, errors during install, the nickname and the colors you wanted, perhaps a screenshot...?

the first problem got solved by reinstalling.
second problem was my fault...i was using gradient on too many character and was exceeding the name limit

it would be a good idea to have a notification if the name goes over the limit...otherwise

that would be of course possible, but it'll soon be very annoying
with 13 characters you already have 1 color code deleted...

you'll get a message if ALL the color codes are deleted, or if the nick is >129 characters

well, i reinstalled the plugin, everything went ok on the install (as it did last time) and I still get the error
when i do a text color and click ok i get the popup error then i click ok on that and it sends this message:

it's not the kind of RTF code I expect... I don't know why for some people it's this kind of code, and for others it's te same as mine... I thought it was the RichTextBox version which was the problem, but you said everything is ok in the install...

Could you describe your system? language, version of riched20.dll and richtx32.ocx (in C:\Windows\System)...
