i got service pack 2 yesterday and when i looked at the add ons feature it said i had an add on called {CD67F990-D8E9-11D2..............} theres a lot more but i cant be bothered to type it.
any info on it would be great
ive disabled it to be on the safe side but id like to know what it is.

Search the registry for that (Start > Run > regedit.exe), maybe there's some readable string. Where does that appear?

Well, you should be, without the complete number you can't find the exact program. If you posted a couple of numbers on the end, then that would be more usefull, but still... post the whole number...

PS: The number can be compared to a name, eg: "John Blabber"... There are many "John's", but not many "Blabber's"... And there is only 1 "John Blabber"...

Anyways... I can only guess here, but is it CD67F990-D8E9-11D2-98FE-00C0F0318AFE? In that case it is the extra toolbarbutton from RealPlayer in Internet Explorer...

Nothing to worry about. Although it can be annoying and you can switch it off in the preferences of RealPlayer...
