Adding emoticons to the five optional panels is still a complicated pastime.
Therefore I'm suggesting the development of an option where you add emoticons to a panel by browsing to a folder where you stored them, click on one and OK.
There is an enormous collection of emoticons one can download from Ilovemessenger.com (and similar sites) and store them in a folder.
Now that would be a comfortable improvement

At last count I saw 10. However this is a nice idea, but it would require hooking into Windows Explorer to work, currently that would be a major alteration to Messenger Plus!. A better idea would be for an alternate panel to be added just for custom emoticons, so you had more choice...I believe at some point MSN will consider this for a future upgrade...
However an alternate display where you can select emoticons to insert into conversations, that could be added theoretically in a quite advanced visual c++ plugin, would make a need for that obsolete...
Personally like others I'd just wait for MSN to make an alternate custom emoticon panel, I'm sure they will eventually.
