It's a good idea to do a full system scan. At least once a week or straight away if you believe you might have got a virus.

On Norton Anti-Virus, it automatically sets a schedualed  task to scan each week which is handy. You can always set up a task for your anti-virus software.

I really don't think that Norton Antivirus is that good, it uses up a lot of RAM, and it pisses me off, and thats why I have different virus software, does any one know of any free software that doesn't use up much RAM?

Yeh it also takes a little while 2 start up but I think it's ok. Just remember to scan every file you download, first!

But do you know of any free antivirus software that doesn't use up so much ram?

I think there is some software called AVG anti-virus. Not sure though.
