they don't. the first part is plain text, noticed?

Yes, but the second part could be easily read by a robot.

Something like me couldn't be used by a robot unless it was coded to detect that specific image, or it had some kind of OCR...

The important thing is not to make it a link, because if you do this:

[email=spam@shoutbox.menthix.net][img]http://guillaumelforum.theglassprison.net/gmail.png[/img][/email]

---

Then the robots can simply get the address from the HTML link code (<a href="mailto:...">).

that's the main error everyone makes =/

i didnt... spam robots are annoying.. the spam problem isnt a problem but they also sent vireses... im not that stupid why do u think when u sign up in lots of places they ask you for the validation key
