ok i checked both of the options  to allow me to rename them on contact list and to view their name on instant messeging... But when i chat with them there name is there email.. not the one that i specified...  But The contact list is allright.. is this a bug??

I get e-mail addresses with contacts not on my list. I assume that is default behaviour.
As for your problem, I assume you've set it to:
Contact List - Custom Name
Convo Window - Actual Nickname
If this is so, then make sure you've given those contacts a custom name.

im confused can you please be more specific... it might be becuase i saved and then loaded the settings to msg plus but w/e... anyway please help

The only time the email is shown in the convo window is when you have custom contact names totaly off and have set "show emails" in the contactlist in Messenger....

Are you sure, you aren't testing on people who have their actual email in their name?

Also, give more details:
1) your exact MSN Messenger version
2) exact Plus! version (I assume this is the latest one, 3.01.94)
3) Windows OS
4) Tell us what is set in:
* Contact > Manage Cantacts > View Contacts by > ......
(should be "by email", if not set it to that. If it is, try to set it to "name" and back to "email")
* Contact > Sort Contacts by > ...
(this normaly shouldn't influence it, but you never know)

Anyways this didnt always happen... it works with my hotmail account but not with gmail Thanks for the help

**IT WORKS** i think i should post something in bugs... well anyway when u import a file with your contacts renaming thing.. it says all your contacts and stuff and there chosen name that you gave them.. BUT u still have to click apply... but then i wonder how wa it saved in pref when it wasnt applied.. wierd
