I've searched the forums for this but didn't find it so here it goes:
MsgPlus! is able to hide the codes in nicknames in the contactlist (green circle on image); but it doesn't hide it in the status section (red circle on image). Could this be done?

I think when you don't have Plus! loaded, your plugins also
don't load. And your color nick doesnt show, so the codes to make it a color is shown instead....
Well, but the colors in the nick are not given by a plugin so having Plus loaded or not doesn't make the way it shows in the status bar change, but with Plus not loaded, the color codes are shown in the contact list as we can see at Smethead's screenshot.

RE: Codes in Nickname
I'm not so sure if Plus should hide the codes. I mean, they allow you to see the formatting you've chosen. True, you have to know what the characters mean, but it could still be useful to see the codes.
raceprouk is correct: Plus! doesn't hide the codes in your own name in the contact list so that you can see them. I know it doesn't look very nice but at least, you're aware that your name contains these codes. Same thing goes for status tags.
