Have fun with this little plugin - it's my first.

Nick Changer Plugin for MSN Messenger Plus 3

Now with predefined styles and more...
Up to ten configurable user styles!
Usage:

/xnickset       Show Configuration window for quick select a nick
        Just click on the nick from the list you want to use
        and click "Set nick"

/xnickset xxx  (where xxx is you're Nickname you want to create)
        Pre-defines the nick as xxx to quick-select a style
        and save it to your list

        Alternate Method: Type your nick into the text box.

/xnickshr       Share your nicknames and decos with your conversation
        partner       

/xnickabt       Show up the About box with visual realtime effects        


- slot number of nick/deco is automatically changed to the selected one
  so you can edit your configuration much easier.

If you want to save a nick or deco be sure to define the slot number!

I've aactually done something similar in my NickMem plugin, but implemented differently. I use a dialog box to show the (unlimited size) central store.

I don't know how to make forms / dialog boxes inside of a dll...
So I had to do a work-around.

I've tried to add a form to my dll but the plugin won't run anymore. Could you please tell me how to make this right?
And another question:
How to add this little help wehen someone choose a plugin command from the Plus menu?
like /xcommand <type your name here>

It is used by many plugin's but I don't know how to make this.

Forms in VB are easy: just add a Form module.
In C++ however, it is harder, and something I haven't managed to get to work yet.

As for the help part, it tells you how to do it in the plugin API documentation.

Looking good! I like the auto-embellish feature particularly, although it'd be good if you could add custom embellishments.

The development state you yee here is the work of just one day / 3 or 4 hours... So more customizable versions will come soon if you wish to. =)


EDIT / UPDATE:

Version 1.6.9 is ready!

Following the suggestion I've implemented some functions:

-up to 10 personal decorations beside the 10 pre-defined
-slot number automatically changes to the selected nick/deco, so you can easily edit your nicks/decos
-Deco's are saved in the INI file too
-Nicks and Decos are shareable with your conversation partner by sending the command /xnickshr
