its not that great but it provides what i need (my site) , cood do with more bandwidth and more mySQL databases but oh well.....

what i need is a yoursite.net or.com etc. host with no ads and i dont care bout bandwidth or space as i wont use much... can anyone help?
also if i can get just plain domain hosting to point to my sites DNS servers that wood be great also

stephen_wq, do you mean a domain for your site?  Well, I had never heard of getting a domain for free.  You will need to pay for that, and you can use that for your free webspace.  A domain doesn't cost a lot.  You can pay as little as a few bucks per month, and you can get whatever you want already.  Think about it.

There are free domain names, but just a lot of the services are either full or have lots of ads.
If anyone can find one or can provide one that would be great!
and also with the .tk thing, is that got ads?

for tk there is ads u can remove the pop up by going into my marketing and then clicking continue with ur domain name and click no banner

you are right, if you are saying those domain like .tk that might include ads.  However, for something like .tk, I think they are more like a redirector to me.  What i mean by domain is something like .com, .net, or .org without any ads.  You need to pay for those services. 

http://www.maj.com for picture hosting, can host gif, bmp, png and jpg, no spaces though.

http://www.brickshelf.com is the same as maj although it is mainly used for Lego purposes. The one difference is that it can have swf's, which is why I use it.

i own a domain name but have nowhere to host it... is there anywhere where i can host it free that will let me keep my domain name?

Don't you have any webspace provided by your ISP?  You could always upload it to there and link to it from your domain name.

Example: http://www.f1ngers.org.uk is a domain name I have but all the files are on my webspace from my ISP.
