After installing Service Pack 2, my system restarts for no reason at least once a day or more . Aynyone know a fix? Also: I have Windows Security Center setup to NOT monitor my firewall (hardware) and it still says every boot "Your system could be at risk - no firewall is turned on."

Is this a bug in SP2 or a virus/worm?

It never detects my firewall lol, it's sort of supported but it sez status unknown...

mine dus that....stupid firewalls i jus set it to 'sort out my self' (or w/e it sez) wit everyfin, so its all gd

well no one else has this prob so it wont be fixed probaly it must be some hardware not working
cant you just uninstall sp2 because thats a big problem and so its probaly best to go for your pc not resarting everyday over slightly more security im sure you would agree

If the system restart comes out try click Start > Run > and type in this command "Shutdown -a" and hit ok will do.

Try to update your window on window Update

I am not a n00b - that is for blaster, it just restarts, like right that seccond with no warning.  Please read the whole post next time because I DID update my windows and that's WHY I got this problem. It seems to have gone away now, though...
