Then rename or move all your plugins. If it works then, reinstall one plugin and restart. You will be able to localize the problem quickly that way.

I don't know why some plugins causes this problem, but I do say from personal experience that some does cause problems. I don't know exactly which thought as the Shortcut Plugin was the only one in my current installation that was causing the hang.

I used to have it after I fiddled too much trying to disable and keep Windows Messenger from running.
Try this:

That's what the Plugins section in the Preferences window can do for you with checkboxes - saves a lot of hassle

Thing is that a plugin may still cause trouble even with it off.

Can you please type in a convo window (!PVER) and tells us your plugins?

sorri for the delayed response guys.... and yep my problem is fixed now completely thanx to FineWolf  of course.

i didn't remove "Shortcutplus.dll by the way, i renamed it to Shortcutplus.dll.bak .. would be the same thing anyway but it's there in case something goes wrong.  thanx  Finewolf again it was pain in the back . now its all good.
