O.P. Undecided  A few DSL Pricing Questions...
Well, mom said we will be getting DSL in the next few weeks cause she is tired of our crapy 56k dialup...See now, we pay $20 a month for unlimited Dial-Up.....And our ISP is http://vallnet.com ...They are now offering DSL in our area and the coast of it to get DSL out our home would be $45 a month...Mom said that wouldn't be bad to get..Then we checked out EarthLink DSL/Cable...The Regular DSL package with them is $19.95 for the first 2 months, then it is $39.95...And that speed is adverage at 3mbps...Then I looked at the Earthlink Cable internet..It is $19.95 a month for first 3 months, then it is 41.95 thereafter it...

:blah: and bellsouth is down atm so i cant get details on there dsl services...So what should we get???:)

Okay, here is bellsouth's dsl pricing stuff:::

Fast Access DSL: $24.95/month Up to 256Kbps/128Kbps
Fast Access DSL Ultra: $32.95 Up to 1.5Mbps/256Kbps
Fast Access DSL Extreme $44.95/month Up to 3Mbps/384Kbps

(BTW: The  comparisons between connections is Downstream/Upstream)

What should we get??

tbh, isn't your HDD small, so you wouldn't be downloading that much so a 3mbps connection is a bit of overkill, even a 1.5 is a bit much. I personally don't like cable since you don't get a constant speed, so my reccomendation would be the Bellsouth lowest or the 1.5mbps Earthlink DSL

LoL... you Americans are completely spoiled regarding DSL prices! ;)

Our service costs $56,5 USD a month for 512/128 kbit/s... :^)  Getting 2 MBit/512 kbit would be possible, but it would cost an unreasonable amount of money (approx. $110 a month). What an unfair world! ;)
